Ingredients

  • 2 chicken breasts - 300 grams
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar - 60 ml
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil - 15 ml
  • 2 cloves garlic - minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano - 1 gram
  • Salt - to taste
  • Pepper - to taste
  • Fresh basil - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a small saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar, minced garlic, and oregano. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and let it reduce for about 10 minutes, or until thickened.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F).
  4. Once the chicken is cooked, pour the balsamic reduction over the chicken in the skillet. Cook for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the glaze to coat the chicken.
  5. Remove from heat and let the chicken rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  6. Serve garnished with fresh basil and enjoy your low-carb meal!
