Ingredients

  • Ground lamb - 400 grams
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Fresh rosemary - 1 tablespoon, chopped
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Burger buns - 2 pieces
  • Rucola (arugula) - 50 grams
  • Tomato - 1 medium, sliced
  • Red onion - 1/2, thinly sliced
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Cucumber - 1/2, grated
  • Feta cheese - 50 grams, crumbled

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, salt, and black pepper. Mix well and form into two patties.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the lamb patties for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
  3. While the patties are cooking, prepare the yogurt sauce by mixing the yogurt, lemon juice, grated cucumber, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Set aside.
  4. Toast the burger buns lightly in a separate pan or under the broiler until golden.
  5. Assemble the burgers by placing a lamb patty on the bottom half of each bun. Top with rucola, tomato slices, red onion, crumbled feta, and a generous spoonful of the yogurt sauce.
  6. Place the top half of the bun over the assembled burger and serve immediately.
