  • Garlic powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Onion powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried sage - 1 teaspoon
  • Dried thyme - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red pepper flakes - 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
  • Fresh parsley, chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Coconut oil - 1 tablespoon (for cooking)

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground venison and pork fatback until well blended.
  2. Add garlic powder, onion powder, dried sage, dried thyme, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes to the meat mixture. Mix thoroughly until all spices are evenly distributed.
  3. Stir in the chopped fresh parsley for added flavor and freshness.
  4. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
  5. Heat coconut oil in a skillet over medium heat.
