- Paneer (Indian cottage cheese) - 50 grams, grated
- Fresh coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Garlic - 1 teaspoon, minced
- Green chili - 1, finely chopped
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Breadcrumbs - 3 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon (for cooking)
- Burger buns - 2
- Lettuce leaves - 2
- Tomato - 1, sliced
- Onion - 1/2, sliced
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the mixed vegetables, mashed potato, grated paneer, chopped coriander, ginger, garlic, and green chili.
- Add cumin powder, garam masala, salt, and black pepper to the vegetable mixture and mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Gradually add breadcrumbs to the mixture until it holds together well. Form the mixture into two patties.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until golden brown and crispy.
- While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on a separate pan until golden.
- Assemble the burgers by placing a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun, followed by the cooked patty, sliced tomato, and onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
- Serve immediately with your choice of sauce or chutney.
