Ingredients

  • All-purpose flour - 200 grams
  • Baking powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Plant-based yogurt - 100 grams
  • Water - 60-80 ml
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the plant-based yogurt and olive oil to the dry ingredients and mix until crumbly.
  3. Gradually add water, a little at a time, and knead the mixture into a soft, elastic dough.
  4. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 15 minutes.
  5. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll each into a ball.
  6. On a floured surface, roll out each ball into an oval shape, about 1/4 inch thick.
  7. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, place one naan in the skillet.
  8. Cook for about 1-2 minutes until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Repeat for the remaining naan, adding minced garlic on top while cooking for extra flavor.
  10. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve warm.
