  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until they become translucent.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, and green chili; cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add diced tomatoes and cook until they soften and release their juices.
  5. Mix in the coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and salt; cook for another minute.
  6. Incorporate the boiled and mashed potatoes along with the boiled peas; mix well to combine all ingredients.
  7. Sprinkle garam masala over the mixture and stir for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
  8. Remove from heat and stir in chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice.
  9. Serve hot with bread or buns.
