- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon

- Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh cilantro - for garnish
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Wash and peel the potatoes, then cut them into small cubes.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, add cumin seeds, and let them splutter.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in the ginger, garlic, and green chili, cooking for another minute.
- Add the chopped tomato and cook until it softens.
- Sprinkle in the turmeric, coriander powder, and salt; mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add the cubed potatoes to the pan, mix to coat them with the spices, and pour in 1/4 cup of water.
- Cover the pan and cook for 10-15 minutes or until the potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally.
- Once cooked, sprinkle garam masala and mix gently. Cook for another 2 minutes without the lid.
- Remove from heat, add lemon juice, and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
