- Pizza dough - 250 grams
- Potatoes - 200 grams
- Green chili - 1, finely chopped
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Bread crumbs - 1/2 cup
- Chutney (green chutney or tamarind chutney) - 4 tablespoons
- Onion - 1 small, thinly sliced
- Tomato - 1 small, sliced
- Coriander leaves - a handful, chopped
- Vegan cheese (optional) - 100 grams
Steps
- Boil the potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and let cool, then peel and mash.
- In a pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add mustard seeds; once they splutter, add cumin seeds, green chili, ginger, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add the mashed potatoes to the pan and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let cool.
- Preheat the oven to 220°C (428°F). Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
- Spread the chutney evenly over the pizza base, then layer the potato mixture on top.
- Sprinkle the bread crumbs over the potato layer for extra crunch, followed by sliced onions, tomatoes, and coriander leaves.
- If using, sprinkle vegan cheese on top of the vegetables.
- Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy.
- Remove from the oven, slice, and serve hot with additional chutney on the side.
