- trout fillets - 300 grams
- almond flour - 50 grams
- egg - 1 large
- coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- iceberg lettuce leaves - 4, for wrapping
- sliced tomato - 1 medium
- sliced red onion - 1/4 medium
- lime - 1, for serving
Steps
- Preheat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
- In a bowl, combine the trout fillets, almond flour, egg, coriander, cumin, turmeric, minced garlic, cilantro, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until a cohesive mixture forms.
- Shape the mixture into two patties.
- Once the skillet is hot, place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- While the patties are cooking, prepare the lettuce wraps by washing and drying the iceberg lettuce leaves.
- Once cooked, remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
- To assemble, place each trout patty on a lettuce leaf, top with sliced tomato and red onion, and squeeze lime juice over the top.
- Wrap the lettuce around the filling and serve immediately.
