- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Onion, finely chopped - 1 medium
- Tomato puree - 200 grams
- Coconut milk - 120 ml
- Fresh cilantro, chopped - for garnish
Steps
- In a bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, garam masala, cumin, paprika, and salt. Add the chicken pieces, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the marinated chicken to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes until the chicken is browned on all sides.
- Stir in the tomato puree and bring to a simmer. Cook for another 5 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.
- Pour in the coconut milk, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for an additional 10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is thickened.
- Serve hot, garnished with fresh cilantro, alongside rice or naan.
