Ingredients

  • Jowar flour - 100 grams
  • Rice flour - 50 grams
  • Besan (gram flour) - 30 grams
  • Chopped spinach - 50 grams
  • Chopped onion - 30 grams
  • Chopped coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons
  • Green chili - 1 finely chopped
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon grated
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Water - as needed
  • Oil - for cooking

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine jowar flour, rice flour, besan, chopped spinach, chopped onion, coriander leaves, green chili, ginger, cumin seeds, and salt.
  2. Gradually add water to the mixture, kneading until you form a smooth, pliable dough.
  3. Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a ball.
  4. On a flat surface, place a parchment paper and flatten each ball into a circle, about 5-6 inches in diameter and 1/4 inch thick.
  5. Heat a non-stick tava or skillet over medium heat and add a little oil.
  6. Carefully place the flattened dough onto the hot tava and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, applying a little oil until golden brown and crisp.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining dough portions.
  8. Serve hot with yogurt or pickle.
