Ingredients

  • Paneer - 200 grams
  • Bell pepper (capsicum) - 1 medium, diced
  • Onion - 1 medium, sliced
  • Tomato - 1 medium, chopped
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. Heat the oil in a tawa or large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the cumin seeds and let them splutter for a few seconds.
  3. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they turn translucent.
  4. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  5. Add the diced bell pepper and chopped tomato; cook until the vegetables soften.
  6. Sprinkle in the red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt; stir well to combine.
  7. Cut the paneer into cubes and add them to the pan, gently mixing to coat with the spices.
  8. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, allowing the paneer to absorb the flavors and get slightly golden.
  9. Finish with garam masala and mix well; cook for an additional minute.
  10. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or paratha.
