Ingredients
- Chicken thigh fillets - 400 grams
- Plain yogurt - 150 grams
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Tandoori masala - 2 tablespoons
- Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Fresh cilantro - for garnish
Steps
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, tandoori masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, and red chili powder until well combined.
- Add the chicken thigh fillets to the marinade and ensure they are thoroughly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. If using a charcoal grill, let the coals burn until they are covered with gray ash.
- Remove the chicken from the marinade, allowing any excess to drip off. Brush the chicken with oil on both sides.
- Place the chicken on the grill and cook for about 6-7 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F) and there are grill marks.
- Once cooked, remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving. Enjoy with a side of gluten-free naan or a fresh salad.
