Ingredients

  • Shrimp (peeled and deveined) - 400 grams
  • Plain yogurt - 150 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Tandoori masala - 2 tablespoons
  • Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Cilantro (chopped) - for garnish
  • Lemon wedges - for serving

Steps

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the plain yogurt, lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, tandoori masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt to create a marinade.
  2. Add the shrimp to the marinade, ensuring each piece is thoroughly coated. Cover the bowl and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Once the grill is hot, thread the marinated shrimp onto skewers, leaving a little space between each shrimp.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp are opaque and slightly charred.
  6. Remove the shrimp from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes.
  7. Serve the tandoori shrimp garnished with chopped cilantro and lemon wedges on the side.
