Ingredients
- Salmon fillets - 2 pieces (200g each)
- Plain Greek yogurt - 100g
- Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic cloves - 2, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Fresh cilantro - for garnish
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric powder, garam masala, paprika, salt, and black pepper to create the marinade.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them in the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to penetrate.
- Preheat your grill or oven to 200°C (400°F). If using an oven, line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Remove the salmon from the marinade and let any excess drip off. Brush a little olive oil on the grill or baking tray to prevent sticking.
- Cook the salmon for about 12-15 minutes, until the fish is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. If using a grill, you can turn the fillets halfway through for even cooking.
- Once cooked, remove the salmon from the heat and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
