Ingredients

  • Prawns - 300 grams, deveined
  • Plain yogurt - 100 grams
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
  • Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
  • Tandoori masala - 2 tablespoons
  • Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the plain yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, tandoori masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt to create a marinade.
  2. Add the deveined prawns to the marinade and mix well to ensure they are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
  3. Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat. If using skewers, soak wooden skewers in water for 10 minutes to prevent burning.
  4. Thread the marinated prawns onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each prawn.
  5. Brush the prawns with olive oil and place them on the grill. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the prawns are pink and cooked through.
  6. Once cooked, remove the prawns from the grill and let them rest for a minute. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
