Ingredients
- Prawns - 300 grams, deveined
- Plain yogurt - 100 grams
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Tandoori masala - 2 tablespoons
- Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the plain yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, tandoori masala, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt to create a marinade.
- Add the deveined prawns to the marinade and mix well to ensure they are evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat. If using skewers, soak wooden skewers in water for 10 minutes to prevent burning.
- Thread the marinated prawns onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each prawn.
- Brush the prawns with olive oil and place them on the grill. Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the prawns are pink and cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove the prawns from the grill and let them rest for a minute. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
