  • Ground coriander - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cilantro - for garnish
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon (for grilling)

Steps

  1. Clean the button mushrooms and remove the stems.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the plain yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, ground cumin, ground coriander, garam masala, paprika, turmeric powder, salt, and black pepper to create a marinade.
  3. Add the cleaned mushrooms to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and let marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  4. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium heat and brush it lightly with oil.
  5. Thread the marinated mushrooms onto skewers, leaving a little space between each mushroom.
  6. Grill the skewers for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the mushrooms are tender and slightly charred.
  7. Remove from the grill and let cool for a minute before serving.
  8. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with lemon wedges.
