Ingredients

  • Chicken breast - 2 pieces (about 300g total)
  • Plain yogurt - 150g
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Tandoori masala - 2 tablespoons
  • Ground cumin - 1 teaspoon
  • Paprika - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh coriander - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, ginger paste, garlic paste, tandoori masala, ground cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and olive oil to create the marinade.
  2. Place the chicken breasts in the marinade, ensuring they are thoroughly coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours for better flavor.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to 200°C (400°F).
  4. Remove the chicken from the marinade and shake off excess. Place the chicken on the grill or a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  5. Cook the chicken for about 20-25 minutes, turning halfway through, until the internal temperature reaches 75°C (165°F) and the chicken is nicely charred.
  6. Once cooked, remove the chicken from the heat and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with lemon wedges and your choice of side.
