Ingredients

  • Chicken Breast - 200 grams
  • Greek Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Tandoori Masala - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Garam Masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 medium, diced
  • Cucumber - 1 small, diced
  • Fresh Coriander - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Mint Chutney - 2 tablespoons
  • Tamarind Chutney - 2 tablespoons
  • Sev (crispy chickpea noodles) - 30 grams
  • Pomegranate Seeds - 2 tablespoons
  • Lemon Wedges - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix Greek yogurt, tandoori masala, lemon juice, garam masala, salt, and cumin powder to create a marinade.
  2. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and coat thoroughly with the marinade. Cover and let it marinate for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat the oven to 200°C (392°F) or prepare a grill. Place the marinated chicken on a baking tray or grill and cook for 15-20 minutes until cooked through and slightly charred.
  4. While the chicken is cooking, prepare the chaat toppings: combine diced red onion, tomato, cucumber, and chopped coriander in a bowl.
  5. Once the chicken is done, let it rest for a few minutes and then cut it into smaller pieces if desired.
  6. To assemble the chaat, place the cooked tandoori chicken on a serving plate. Top with the mixed vegetables, drizzle with mint and tamarind chutneys, and sprinkle sev and pomegranate seeds on top.
  7. Garnish with lemon wedges and serve immediately for a fresh and delicious experience.
