Ingredients
- squirrel meat - 250 grams, minced
- ghee - 1 tablespoon
- onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- garlic - 2 cloves, minced
- ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
- coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- salt - to taste
- black pepper - to taste
- fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- lettuce leaves - 4 large
- tomato - 1 medium, sliced
- cucumber - 1 small, sliced
Steps
- In a skillet, heat the ghee over medium heat, then add the chopped onion and sauté until translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and ginger, cooking for another minute until fragrant.
- In a bowl, combine the minced squirrel meat with the sautéed onion mixture, coriander, cumin, turmeric, red chili powder, salt, black pepper, and chopped cilantro. Mix well.
- Form the meat mixture into two patties, about 1.5 cm thick.
- In the same skillet, cook the patties over medium-high heat for about 5-6 minutes on each side or until cooked through and browned.
- To serve, place each patty on a large lettuce leaf, topped with slices of tomato and cucumber.
