Ingredients
- Baby potatoes - 400 grams
- Yogurt - 100 grams
- Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
- Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Fresh cilantro - 2 tablespoons (chopped)
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Wash and scrub the baby potatoes thoroughly, then boil them in salted water for about 10-12 minutes until they are fork-tender. Drain and let them cool slightly.
- In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well to form a smooth marinade.
- Once the potatoes are cool enough to handle, prick them all over with a fork to allow the marinade to penetrate. Add the potatoes to the marinade and toss until they are evenly coated.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
- Preheat your grill or BBQ to medium-high heat. Thread the marinated potatoes onto skewers, leaving a little space between each potato for even cooking.
- Brush the skewered potatoes with olive oil and place them on the grill. Cook for 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the potatoes are charred and crispy on the outside.
- Once done, remove the skewers from the grill and sprinkle with chopped fresh cilantro before serving.
