Ingredients

  • Almonds - 200 grams
  • Ghee - 2 tablespoons
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon zest - 1 teaspoon

Steps

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a frying pan, heat the ghee over medium heat and add cumin seeds. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to the pan. Stir well and cook for another minute.
  4. Remove the pan from heat and add the almonds, mixing until they are well coated with the spice mixture.
  5. Spread the spiced almonds on a baking sheet in a single layer.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, stirring halfway through, until the almonds are golden and fragrant.
  7. Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly before adding lemon zest. Toss to combine.
  8. Serve warm or at room temperature.
