- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Bell pepper (diced) - 1/2 cup
- Onion (diced) - 1/2 cup
- Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, lemon juice, cumin powder, and salt to create a marinade.
- Cut the soya chaap into bite-sized pieces and add to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the grill or oven to 200°C (392°F).
- Thread the marinated soya chaap, diced bell pepper, and onion onto skewers alternately.
- Brush the assembled skewers with oil and place them on the grill or in the oven.
- Grill for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chaap is cooked through and has a nice char.
- Once done, remove from heat and serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
