  • Soya Chaap - 200 grams
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon

  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Bell pepper (diced) - 1/2 cup
  • Onion (diced) - 1/2 cup
  • Skewers - 4 (if using wooden skewers, soak in water for 30 minutes)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, lemon juice, cumin powder, and salt to create a marinade.
  2. Cut the soya chaap into bite-sized pieces and add to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat the grill or oven to 200°C (392°F).
  4. Thread the marinated soya chaap, diced bell pepper, and onion onto skewers alternately.
  5. Brush the assembled skewers with oil and place them on the grill or in the oven.
  6. Grill for about 15-20 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chaap is cooked through and has a nice char.
  7. Once done, remove from heat and serve hot with mint chutney and lemon wedges.
