- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Cauliflower - 300 grams, cut into florets
- Red onion - 1 medium, sliced
- Fresh green chili - 1, slit (optional)
Steps
- Heat coconut oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Add sliced red onion and sauté until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in turmeric, garam masala, cumin powder, salt, and black pepper, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
- Add the cauliflower florets to the pan and stir to coat them in the spices.
- Cover the pan and let the cauliflower cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally until tender.
- While the cauliflower is cooking, slice the smoked eel into bite-sized pieces.
- Once the cauliflower is tender, add the smoked eel to the pan and gently fold in, allowing it to heat through for about 3 minutes.
- Add lemon juice and chopped cilantro, mixing well before removing from heat.
- Serve the smoked eel and cauliflower mixture warm, garnished with extra cilantro and slit green chili if desired.
