- Vermicelli - 100 grams
- Ghee (clarified butter) - 2 tablespoons
- Milk - 500 milliliters
- Sugar - 4 tablespoons
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Chopped almonds - 2 tablespoons
- Chopped pistachios - 2 tablespoons
- Raisins - 2 tablespoons
- Saffron strands - a pinch
Steps
- In a pan, heat 2 tablespoons of ghee over medium heat.
- Add 100 grams of vermicelli to the pan and roast it until golden brown, stirring frequently for about 5-7 minutes.
- Once roasted, add 500 milliliters of milk to the pan and bring it to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low and add 4 tablespoons of sugar, stirring until dissolved.
- Add 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder, a pinch of saffron, and mix well.
- Simmer the mixture for about 10-15 minutes, or until the vermicelli is cooked and the mixture thickens slightly.
- In the final minute of cooking, add 2 tablespoons of chopped almonds, 2 tablespoons of chopped pistachios, and 2 tablespoons of raisins.
- Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving.
