Ingredients

  • Sev - 100 grams
  • Tomatoes - 2 medium, chopped
  • Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
  • Green chilies - 1, finely chopped
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. Stir in the grated ginger and chopped green chilies, and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes, salt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and cook until the tomatoes soften and the oil separates from the mixture.
  5. Sprinkle garam masala and mix well. Cook for 2 more minutes, then remove from heat.
  6. In a serving bowl, layer the tomato mixture and top it with crispy sev.
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and drizzle lemon juice over the top.
