Ingredients
- Ground lamb - 250 grams
- Onion - 1 small, finely chopped
- Ginger - 1 tablespoon, grated
- Garlic - 1 tablespoon, minced
- Green chili - 1, finely chopped
- Cilantro (fresh coriander) - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Skewers - 4 (soaked in water for 30 minutes if wooden)
- Oil - for brushing
Steps
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground lamb, chopped onion, ginger, garlic, green chili, and cilantro.
- Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to the mixture.
- Mix everything thoroughly using your hands until well combined and sticky.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion around a skewer, pressing firmly to adhere.
- Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat and lightly brush it with oil.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the kebabs are browned and cooked through.
- Remove the kebabs from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
- Serve hot with mint chutney, sliced onions, and naan.
