- Chickpea flour (besan) - 2 tablespoons
- Onion (finely chopped) - 1 small
- Tomato (finely chopped) - 1 medium
- Green chili (finely chopped) - 1 small
- Ginger (grated) - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Coriander leaves (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil - 2 tablespoons
- Baking powder - 1/2 teaspoon
Steps
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine rolled oats, chickpea flour, baking powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and add cumin seeds. Once they start to sizzle, add chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
- Add grated ginger, chopped green chili, and chopped tomato to the skillet. Cook for 3-4 minutes until the tomatoes soften.
- Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a simmer. Once boiling, remove from heat.
- Add the sautéed vegetable mixture to the dry ingredients and mix well. Fold in chopped coriander leaves.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
