- Sattu (roasted chickpea flour) - 100 grams
- Jaggery (grated) - 50 grams
- Ghee (clarified butter) - 2 tablespoons
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Chopped almonds - 2 tablespoons
- Chopped walnuts - 2 tablespoons
- Desiccated coconut - 2 tablespoons
- Milk - 2 tablespoons (optional, for binding)
Steps
- In a pan, heat ghee over low flame.
- Add sattu and roast it for 5-7 minutes until it turns slightly golden and aromatic.
- Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool down.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the roasted sattu, grated jaggery, cardamom powder, chopped almonds, walnuts, and desiccated coconut.
- If the mixture is too dry, add milk, one tablespoon at a time, until it reaches a moldable consistency.
- Grease your hands with a little ghee and shape the mixture into small round balls (ladoo).
- Allow the ladoos to set for about 10 minutes before serving.
