Ingredients

  • Sattu (roasted chickpea flour) - 100 grams
  • Jaggery (grated) - 50 grams
  • Ghee (clarified butter) - 2 tablespoons
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chopped almonds - 2 tablespoons
  • Chopped walnuts - 2 tablespoons
  • Desiccated coconut - 2 tablespoons
  • Milk - 2 tablespoons (optional, for binding)

Steps

  1. In a pan, heat ghee over low flame.
  2. Add sattu and roast it for 5-7 minutes until it turns slightly golden and aromatic.
  3. Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool down.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the roasted sattu, grated jaggery, cardamom powder, chopped almonds, walnuts, and desiccated coconut.
  5. If the mixture is too dry, add milk, one tablespoon at a time, until it reaches a moldable consistency.
  6. Grease your hands with a little ghee and shape the mixture into small round balls (ladoo).
  7. Allow the ladoos to set for about 10 minutes before serving.
