Ingredients

  • Sattu (roasted chickpea flour) - 100 grams
  • Jaggery (grated) - 50 grams
  • Ghee (clarified butter) - 2 tablespoons
  • Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Chopped nuts (almonds and cashews) - 2 tablespoons
  • Desiccated coconut - 2 tablespoons
  • Water - 2 tablespoons

Steps

  1. In a pan, heat the ghee on low flame.
  2. Add the sattu to the pan and roast it for 5-7 minutes until it turns aromatic, stirring continuously to prevent burning.
  3. Once roasted, remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix the grated jaggery with 2 tablespoons of water and heat until the jaggery dissolves completely.
  5. Combine the dissolved jaggery with the roasted sattu, add cardamom powder, chopped nuts, and desiccated coconut. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
  6. Allow the mixture to cool until it's manageable to handle, then shape it into small round balls (ladoo) using your hands.
  7. Place the ladoos on a plate and allow them to set for a few minutes before serving.
