Ingredients
- Sattu (roasted chickpea flour) - 100 grams
- Jaggery (grated) - 50 grams
- Ghee (clarified butter) - 2 tablespoons
- Cardamom powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Chopped nuts (almonds and cashews) - 2 tablespoons
- Desiccated coconut - 2 tablespoons
- Water - 2 tablespoons
Steps
- In a pan, heat the ghee on low flame.
- Add the sattu to the pan and roast it for 5-7 minutes until it turns aromatic, stirring continuously to prevent burning.
- Once roasted, remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, mix the grated jaggery with 2 tablespoons of water and heat until the jaggery dissolves completely.
- Combine the dissolved jaggery with the roasted sattu, add cardamom powder, chopped nuts, and desiccated coconut. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.
- Allow the mixture to cool until it's manageable to handle, then shape it into small round balls (ladoo) using your hands.
- Place the ladoos on a plate and allow them to set for a few minutes before serving.
