Ingredients

  • Salmon fillet - 250 grams, skinless and boneless
  • Almond flour - 50 grams
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, finely chopped
  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped (adjust for spice preference)
  • Ginger - 1 teaspoon, grated
  • Garlic - 1 clove, minced
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons (for frying)

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, finely chop the salmon fillet into small pieces or use a food processor to pulse it until coarsely ground.
  2. Add almond flour, chopped cilantro, green chili, grated ginger, minced garlic, lemon juice, turmeric powder, cumin powder, salt, and black pepper to the bowl with the salmon.
  3. Mix all the ingredients together until well combined, being careful not to overwork the mixture.
  4. Shape the mixture into 4 patties of equal size.
  5. Heat coconut oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  6. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the patties in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest on a paper towel to absorb any excess oil before serving.
