  • Green chili - 1, finely chopped
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Almond flour - 1/4 cup
  • Egg - 1, beaten
  • Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons, for frying
  • Lettuce leaves - 2, for serving
  • Tomato - 1, sliced, for serving
  • Onion - 1/2, sliced, for serving
  • Mint leaves - 1/4 cup, for chutney
  • Cilantro - 1/4 cup, for chutney
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon, for chutney
  • Salt - to taste, for chutney

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the minced salmon, garlic, ginger, green chili, cilantro, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, black pepper, almond flour, and beaten egg. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
  2. Form the mixture into two patties and refrigerate for 10-15 minutes to help them hold their shape during cooking.
  3. While the patties are chilling, prepare the mint chutney by blending the mint leaves, cilantro, lemon juice, and salt in a food processor until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste and set aside.
  4. Heat coconut oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, carefully add the salmon patties and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Remove the patties from the skillet and let them rest for a minute.
  6. To assemble the burgers, place a salmon patty on a lettuce leaf, top with sliced tomatoes and onions, and drizzle with mint chutney. Serve immediately.
