  • Quail - 2 whole (about 250g each)
  • Coconut oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Black pepper - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 2 tablespoons
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. In a bowl, mix coconut oil, ginger paste, garlic paste, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
  2. Clean and pat dry the quails, then coat them thoroughly with the marinade. Cover and let marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to 200°C (400°F).
  4. Place the marinated quails on the grill or in a roasting pan, and cook for about 25-30 minutes, turning occasionally, until the skin is crispy and the meat is cooked through.
  5. Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  6. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
