- Dried figs, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - a pinch
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- If using raw chestnuts, score the chestnuts with an X on the flat side and boil them for 10 minutes, then roast in the oven for 20 minutes until tender. If using pre-roasted, skip this step.
- In a skillet, melt the ghee over medium heat.
- Add the cooked chestnuts to the skillet and toss them in the melted ghee.
- Sprinkle coconut sugar, cardamom powder, cinnamon powder, and a pinch of salt over the chestnuts, stirring well to coat evenly.
- Add chopped almonds and dried figs, mixing everything together.
- Cook for an additional 5 minutes until warm and fragrant.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving.
