- Chickpeas (dried) - 100 grams
- Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper - 1/4 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh coriander (cilantro) - 2 tablespoons, chopped
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
- Rinse the dried chickpeas under cold water and soak them in water for at least 8 hours or overnight.
- After soaking, drain the chickpeas and spread them on a clean kitchen towel to dry.
- Once dried, transfer the chickpeas to a mixing bowl, add olive oil, salt, chili powder, cumin powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Mix well to coat the chickpeas evenly.
- Spread the seasoned chickpeas in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are golden brown and crunchy.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool slightly, then drizzle with lemon juice and toss in chopped coriander.
- Serve warm or at room temperature as a healthy snack.
