Ingredients

  • Prawns - 300 grams, deveined and cleaned
  • Semolina (Rawa) - 100 grams
  • Rice flour - 50 grams
  • Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Fresh coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Water - as needed
  • Oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the prawns with lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix semolina and rice flour together. You can add a pinch of salt for extra flavor.
  3. After marination, take each prawn and coat it evenly in the semolina-rice flour mixture, pressing gently to ensure it sticks.
  4. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the coated prawns in the pan, ensuring not to overcrowd them.
  5. Fry the prawns for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they turn golden brown and crispy.
  6. Remove the prawns and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
  7. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.
