Ingredients
- Prawns - 300 grams, deveined and cleaned
- Semolina (Rawa) - 100 grams
- Rice flour - 50 grams
- Turmeric powder - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Fresh coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Water - as needed
- Oil - for frying
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the prawns with lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well and let it marinate for 15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix semolina and rice flour together. You can add a pinch of salt for extra flavor.
- After marination, take each prawn and coat it evenly in the semolina-rice flour mixture, pressing gently to ensure it sticks.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the coated prawns in the pan, ensuring not to overcrowd them.
- Fry the prawns for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until they turn golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the prawns and place them on a paper towel to absorb excess oil.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges and your favorite dipping sauce.
