Ingredients

  • Ragi flour - 100 grams
  • Rice flour - 50 grams
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Black sesame seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Warm water - 100 ml
  • Oil - for frying

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the ragi flour, rice flour, cumin seeds, black sesame seeds, red chili powder, and salt.
  2. Gradually add warm water to the dry mixture, kneading to form a smooth and pliable dough.
  3. Divide the dough into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
  4. On a clean surface, roll each ball into thin circles using a rolling pin, dusting with a little flour to prevent sticking.
  5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
  6. Once the oil is hot, gently slide in the rolled chips, frying them in batches until they turn golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  7. Remove the chips using a slotted spoon and drain them on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  8. Allow the chips to cool before serving.
