- Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - 1/2 teaspoon
- Oil - 2 tablespoons (for frying)
- Water - as needed
Steps
- In a mixing bowl, combine the puffed rice, chickpea flour, cooked black lentils, chopped onion, green chili, coriander leaves, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
- Gradually add water, a tablespoon at a time, mixing until the mixture can hold together but is not too wet.
- Shape the mixture into small balls, about the size of a golf ball.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat.
- Fry the puffed rice balls in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes per batch.
- Remove and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
