- Tomato, finely chopped - 1 medium
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Green chili, finely chopped - 1 small
- Cumin seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Cilantro, chopped - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
- Oil - for cooking (about 2 tablespoons)
Steps
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add finely chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and green chili, cooking for an additional 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften, about 3-4 minutes.
- Mix in coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt, cooking for another minute.
- Add the prawns to the pan and cook until they turn pink and opaque, approximately 5-7 minutes.
- Sprinkle garam masala and chopped cilantro, and drizzle lemon juice over the mixture. Stir well and remove from heat.
- To serve, place a spoonful of the prawn mixture onto each puri, garnishing with additional cilantro if desired.
