Steps

  1. In a bowl, marinate the cleaned prawns with turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and slit green chili to the pan. Sauté for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Stir in the chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften and the oil begins to separate from the mixture.
  5. Add the marinated prawns to the pan and stir well to coat them with the spice mixture. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the prawns are cooked through and pink.
  6. Sprinkle garam masala over the prawns, mix well, and cook for an additional minute.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving. Serve hot with rice or roti.
