  • Green chilies - 2, slit
  • Tomato - 1 medium, chopped
  • Coconut milk - 200 ml
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Heat coconut oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Stir in minced garlic, grated ginger, and slit green chilies, cooking for another 2 minutes until fragrant.
  4. Add chopped tomato and cook until soft and mushy.
  5. Mix in coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, and salt; cook for 1-2 minutes.
  6. Pour in the coconut milk and bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Add the deveined prawns and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  8. Stir in garam masala and lemon juice, cooking for an additional 1 minute.
  9. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
