  • Coconut milk - 100 ml
  • Cooking oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh cilantro - for garnish

Steps

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Stir in the minced garlic, grated ginger, and slit green chili, cooking for another 2 minutes.
  4. Add the turmeric powder, coriander powder, and cumin powder to the pan, stirring well for 1 minute.
  5. Lower the heat and add the whisked yogurt, mixing it thoroughly to prevent curdling.
  6. Incorporate the coconut milk, stirring until combined and simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Add the prawns to the sauce, season with salt, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  8. Sprinkle garam masala over the dish and mix well.
  9. Garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
