Ingredients

  • Prawns (peeled and deveined) - 300 grams
  • Yogurt - 2 tablespoons
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Skewers (wooden or metal) - 4

Steps

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, red chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt to create a marinade.
  2. Add the peeled and deveined prawns to the marinade and mix well. Cover and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes.
  3. Preheat your grill or oven to medium-high heat.
  4. Soak wooden skewers in water for 10 minutes (if using) to prevent burning.
  5. Thread the marinated prawns onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each prawn.
  6. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the prawns are opaque and slightly charred.
  7. Once cooked, remove the skewers from the grill and sprinkle with chopped fresh coriander leaves before serving.
