Ingredients

  • Prawns - 250 grams, deveined
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Coriander leaves - 2 tablespoons, chopped
  • Oil - 2 tablespoons (preferably coconut or vegetable oil)
  • Onion - 1 medium, thinly sliced
  • Green chilies - 2, slit

Steps

  1. In a bowl, marinate the prawns with turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, ginger-garlic paste, lemon juice, and salt. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add sliced onions and green chilies, and sauté until the onions become golden brown.
  3. Add the marinated prawns to the pan and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the prawns turn pink and are cooked through.
  4. Once cooked, garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
