- Coconut milk - 100 ml
- Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Curry leaves - a sprig
- Fresh coriander leaves - for garnish
Steps
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds; let them splutter.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Add the pureed tomato, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt; cook until the oil separates from the mixture.
- Pour in the coconut milk and mix well. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add the cleaned prawns and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until they are pink and cooked through.
- Add curry leaves and mix gently, cooking for an additional 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
