- Curry leaves - 10 leaves
- Onion - 1 medium, finely chopped
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Tomato - 1 medium, chopped
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 tablespoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Fresh coconut - 2 tablespoons, grated
- Cilantro - for garnish
Steps
- Heat coconut oil in a pan over medium heat. Add mustard seeds and let them splutter.
- Add curry leaves and chopped onions to the pan. Sauté until the onions turn translucent.
- Stir in ginger-garlic paste and sauté for 2 minutes until the raw smell disappears.
- Add the chopped tomato, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes soften.
- Add the prawns to the pan, mix well with the spices, and cook for about 5-7 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
- Sprinkle garam masala and grated coconut over the prawns, stirring well to combine. Cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with steamed rice or paratha.
