  • Green chilies (slit) - 2
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Fresh coriander leaves (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
  • Cooking oil - 3 tablespoons
  • Salt - to taste
  • Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon

Steps

  1. Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  3. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
  4. Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, cooking for another 2 minutes.
  5. Add the pureed tomato and cook until the oil separates from the mixture.
  6. Sprinkle in the turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chili powder, and salt, stirring well.
  7. Add the prawns to the pan and mix thoroughly to coat them with the spices.
  8. Cook the prawns for about 5-7 minutes, or until they turn pink and are cooked through.
  9. Sprinkle garam masala and chopped coriander leaves over the prawns, and stir gently.
  10. Finish with a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
