- Tomato (chopped) - 1 medium
- Green chili (slit) - 1
- Ginger-garlic paste - 1 tablespoon
- Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Red chili powder - 1 teaspoon
- Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
- Cumin powder - 1/2 teaspoon
- Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Cilantro (chopped) - 2 tablespoons
- Oil (vegetable or mustard) - 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice - 1 tablespoon
Steps
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, add chopped onions, and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and slit green chili; cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, and salt. Cook until tomatoes soften and oil separates.
- Add the cleaned prawns to the pan and mix well. Cook for 5-7 minutes until prawns turn pink and are cooked through.
- Sprinkle garam masala and mix well. Cook for another 1-2 minutes.
- Remove from heat, stir in lemon juice and chopped cilantro.
- Serve hot with rice or naan.
