  • Green chili - 1, slit (optional for heat)
  • Coconut milk - 150 ml
  • Cilantro - a handful, chopped
  • Olive oil - 1 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Cumin powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Garam masala - 1/2 teaspoon
  • Salt - to taste
  • Black pepper - to taste

Steps

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add finely chopped onions and sauté until translucent.
  2. Add minced garlic, ginger, and green chili; sauté for another 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Stir in the chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften, about 5 minutes.
  4. Add turmeric, cumin, coriander powder, salt, and black pepper; mix well and cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Pour in the coconut milk and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
  6. Add the prawns to the pan and cook until they turn pink and opaque, about 4-5 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle garam masala and mix well. Cook for another minute to combine the flavors.
  8. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
