Ingredients

  • Pork Ribs - 800 grams
  • Yogurt - 100 grams
  • Ginger-Garlic Paste - 2 tablespoons
  • Turmeric Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Red Chili Powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Garam Masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Cumin Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Salt - 1 teaspoon
  • Lemon Juice - 1 tablespoon
  • Cooking Oil - 2 tablespoons
  • Cilantro - 2 tablespoons (chopped) for garnish
  • Basmati Rice - 150 grams (for serving)
  • Water - 300 ml (for cooking rice)
  • Salt - to taste (for rice)

Steps

  1. In a large bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, salt, lemon juice, and cooking oil to create a marinade.
  2. Add the pork ribs to the marinade, ensuring they are well-coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
  3. Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F). Place the marinated ribs on a baking tray and cover with aluminum foil.
  4. Bake the ribs in the preheated oven for 1.5 to 2 hours, until tender.
  5. While the ribs are baking, rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. In a saucepan, bring 300 ml of water to a boil, add the rice and salt to taste, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the water is absorbed.
  6. Once the ribs are done, remove them from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve the pork ribs hot, garnished with chopped cilantro, alongside the basmati rice and a yogurt dip.
